TOTEM POLES

Each image features a unique arrangement of painted branches that resemble totem poles, symbolic structures traditionally used by Indigenous cultures to represent and commemorate ancestry, histories, people, or events.

As I created and painted these totem poles, I found myself meditating on the memories of loved ones who have passed away. The process of sitting in deep thought and reflection while painting became a cathartic exercise.

Through photography, I was able to capture the essence of each totem pole and preserve it as a visual tribute to the people who inspired it.
